Flip-flops with heels, platform or flat? Summer 2021 trends

Impossible not to have noticed. Flip flops have flooded the Instagram feed of fashion influencers from around the globe. In the name of perfect outfits to celebrate summer 2021 . But nothing to do with the classic rubber flip flops. The trend of the season sees thong sandals in deluxe version as protagonists . Flat , with high heel , or with platform , the models of the moment stand out for their minimal elegance or sophisticated details , as well as for their prestigious brands . Preferring neutral and basic colors and becoming the ideal complement for the casual or elegant looks of trend setters from all over the world.  

Platform mania

Among the most popular models there are the minimal ones, in black and with platform . It's hard to find a boss they don't get along with. From wide trousers to shorts , the combination is always a winner. Especially when looking for a relaxed and understated look . Despite appearances, however, they have a luxurious soul . But many other brands have similar products and in every price range.

Flat and ultra chic

Those who love  flat flat sandals can instead focus on classic models in fine leathers, perhaps with metal details, such as those signed by Celine . The right accessory to give a more sophisticated mood even to the simplest of summer dresses . And no wonder this is the type of flip flop most loved by French influencers, who have always been masters of finding the perfect balance between luxury and simplicity . A striking example? The strongest trend of the season, however, is that of high-heeled thong sandals . Kendall Jenner made the trend famous when she was paparazzi with a pair of heeled flip flops by By Far . And model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley created the GIA x RHW sandals collection at the right time in collaboration with the GiaBorghini brand, all based on thong sandals in a deluxe key.
